This past weekend, I had the opportunity to present my work at the IMAGINE Social Good Summit at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA.
After presenting my work, I opened the floor to questions and suggestions, and I received some valuable feedback. I received feedback from experts who gave me insight on who to connect with to expand Geared Up in more locations, how to make a lasting impact, and how to make sure that Geared Up is having an impact. It was all really great advice!
Along with that, I met some incredible people, and I got to learn about other social issues that students around the country that students are trying to solve. I learned about microfinance, green computing, community gardens, breaking barriers, and more. It was an amazing experience.
I also got to attend workshops, answer difficult questions, and sharpen my skills as a changemaker.
It was a great weekend in Virginia!
